Diane Fraser, another of the four Democratic candidates for the 7th Congressional District seat, is coming to visit Lake of the Woods to meet with members of LOWPAN (“huddle”), the LOW Democratic Club and Orange County Dems.
The session with her is set for Feb. 7 at 7:00 PM in Classroom 1 at the Community Center at 110 Sweetbriar Park Rd, Locust Grove, VA. For this informal session, Diane has been asked to make a brief presentation then answer questions. This is another great opportunity to get to know one of the candidates for the 7th CD Democratic nomination in an intimate setting!

The Lake of the Woods Progressive Action Network (another “Huddle” group) is hosting a forum on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at 7:00 PM in Classroom 2 at the Community Center. The Community Center address is 110 Sweetbriar Park Rd., which is a left off Freedom Rd, inside Lake of the Woods.

Terry Anderson, Judith & Henry Lee Carter and Elizabeth & Jim Donovan hosted a fundraiser for Ben Hixon’s run for the 30th HOD district last Thursday at the Donovan’s home in Lake of the Woods. A number of Democrats gathered to share the excellent fare our hosts had provided and to hear Ben speak!
The University Democrats – a student organization – will be hosting a debate between Ralph Northam and Tom Perriello. Event details have yet to be announced, but we’ll update this as more information becomes available.
